Planned

Ludo,
race everyone home.

Roll the die. Bring your pawns out. Race them around the board, and land on an opponent to send them all the way home. A family favorite for two to four players, and every bit as loud as you remember.

This is our plan for Ludo, one of six family games we added to the roadmap in September 2026. We haven't started it yet, and its place in the build order is still being decided.

A first look

A bright board, on a warm table

Four clear colors, each with a shape to match, and a die that rolls right where you can see it.

The basics

How Ludo plays

Four pawns each. One die. One race around the board.

Roll

Roll a six to bring a pawn onto the track. Then roll again.

Race

Move a pawn forward by the roll. Land on an opponent, and back home they go.

Home

Bring all four pawns home first, and you win.

Made with care

Honest dice. Family fun.

Honest dice

Every roll comes from a random seed. You can review every roll of the game.

The whole family

Two to four players over FaceTime, in the same room, or around one iPad.

Fair computer players

They see the same board you do, never the next roll. And they'll fill any open seat.

A free hint every game

“Show a move” suggests which pawn to move, and explains why.

Undo a slip

Against the computer, take back a move before the next roll.

Works offline

Play anywhere. Nothing ever leaves your device.

Made for everyone

Ludo for everyone

Colors with shapes. Spoken rolls. And a pace that's entirely yours.

VoiceOver throughout

Every pawn and square is announced, and every move is spoken. Ludo works without looking.

Voice and Switch Control

Standard accessibility actions, including a list of the moves you can make.

Sizes that fit

A larger board and pawns when you want them, with full Dynamic Type everywhere else.

Color-blind friendly

Every player's pawns have their own shape as well as color. Never color alone.

Reduce Motion

Pawns fade into place instead of hopping when Reduce Motion is on.

Rolls announced

Hear each roll, each move, and the moment a pawn is sent home.

Free and Pro

Free to play. Pro if you'd like more.

Pro is one optional purchase, for families who play all the time. Nothing to renew, nothing to remove.

Ludo

Free

Forever. Not a trial.

  • The complete game for two to four players
  • Unlimited undo when playing the computer
  • A free hint in every game
  • Play with friends, free
  • Larger pieces and every accessibility feature
  • Works offline, no account needed
Ludo Pro

Pay once

A single optional purchase.

  • More hints in each game
  • Themes for the board and pieces
  • Saved games, synced through your iCloud
  • Detailed stats and streaks

One-time purchase. Yours forever. Shared with your family.

What's in Pro, and its price, will be decided closer to release. The free game will always be the complete game.

Questions

Good to know

When will Ludo be released?

Not yet. Ludo is on the roadmap, and we haven't started it. We don't announce dates we can't keep. The day it's ready, you'll find a download link here.

Will it cost anything?

Not to play. Ludo will be free to download and the whole game free to play. Pro will be an optional one-time purchase. There will never be ads or a subscription.

Can I play with friends?

Yes. Ludo is made for exactly that. Invite people you know over FaceTime or Messages with SharePlay, or through Game Center, live or taking turns over days. It's always free, with no accounts and no servers of ours. There's no matchmaking with strangers.

Is this Parcheesi?

No. It's Ludo, the public-domain race game that comes from India's Pachisi. “Parcheesi” is another company's trademark, and we don't use it.

Are the dice really random?

Yes. Each game's rolls come from a random seed, and you can review every roll afterwards. The computer players never see the next roll.

Do I need an internet connection or an account?

Neither. Playing alone works offline, with no account and no sign-in. Your games and stats stay on your device.

Will it come to Android?

That's where we're headed. After the iPhone and iPad apps, we plan to bring the whole collection to Android.
