Reversi,
a minute to learn.
Place a disc. Outflank your opponent. Watch their whole line flip to your color. You'll learn it in a minute, and you'll still be discovering it years from now, against a computer opponent that plays fair.
This is our plan for Reversi, one of six board and puzzle games on our roadmap. We haven't started it yet, and its place in the build order is still being decided.

Black. White. Nothing else.
A clean green board, crisp discs, and every legal move shown if you want it.
Illustrations of the planned design. The finished app may look different.
How Reversi plays
Two players. Sixty-four squares. And discs that change sides.
Place
Put a disc down so it traps a line of your opponent's discs between two of yours.
Flip
Every trapped disc, in every direction, flips to your color. All at once.
Win
When neither player can move, whoever has more discs wins.
Simple rules. A deep game.
An opponent that plays fair
It sees the same board you do, thinks within a fixed budget, and never cheats.
Legal moves shown
Dots mark every square you can play, and every move shows you which discs will flip.
A free hint every game
“Show a move” suggests a good square, and tells you why.
Unlimited undo
Nothing is hidden in this game. So take back any move, as many times as you like.
Your pace, always
No move timers. Think as long as you want.
Works offline
Play anywhere. Nothing leaves your device.
Reversi for everyone
Crisp contrast, spoken moves, and a pace that belongs to you.
VoiceOver throughout
Every square and every disc is announced, and every move is spoken. Reversi works without looking.
Voice and Switch Control
Standard accessibility actions, including a list of the moves you can make.
Sizes that fit
Larger pieces and a larger board when you want them. Full Dynamic Type everywhere else.
High contrast
Pieces you can tell apart by shape and shade, not only color. Never color alone.
Reduce Motion
With Reduce Motion on, pieces fade into place instead of sliding.
Flips announced
Hear exactly how many discs each move flips, and where.
Free to play. Pro if you want more.
Pro is one optional purchase for dedicated players. Nothing to renew. Nothing to remove.
Free
Forever. Not a trial.

Good to know
When will Reversi be released?
Reversi is on the roadmap after our card games, and we haven't started it. We won't give you a date we can't keep. When it's ready, the download link will be right here.
Will it cost anything?
Reversi will be free to download, and the whole game free to play. Pro will be an optional one-time purchase. No ads. No subscription. Not now, not ever.
Can I play with friends?
Yes, with the people you know. Invite friends over FaceTime or Messages with SharePlay, or through Game Center, and any open seats go to fair computer players. It's always free, with no accounts and no servers of ours. No matchmaking with strangers.
Do I need an internet connection or an account?
No. Everything will work offline, with no account and no sign-in. Your games and stats stay on your device.
Will it come to Android?
That's the plan. The whole collection comes to Android after the iPhone and iPad apps.
Data Not Collected
That's the App Store privacy label on every app we make, Reversi included. No accounts, no analytics, no advertising. What you do in the app stays on your device.
Something to play now.
Reversi comes after the card games, and its place in line is still being decided. There's no mailing list, because we don't collect email addresses. Check back here.
